WILL THE SURGERY BE PAINFUL?
Prior to surgery, local or general anesthesia is given to the patient. It is mainly injected at the site to be operated. This creates a numb feeling at the affected site. As a result, the person does not experience any form of pain or any other discomfort during surgery. Even after surgery is over, the effect of anesthesia remains for sometime. Specific medications are prescribed by the doctor, post-surgery, to control the pain.
