1. Eat 5 or 6 well-balanced meals each and every day.
  2. Take a prenatalvitamin every day as directed by your doctor or obstetrician
  3. Drink plenty of fluids particularly water at least 8 – 10 glasses a day, avoid consuming caffeine & artificial coloring.
  4. Don’t consume alcohol.
  5. Don’t smoke or dont allow to be exposed to secondhand smoke.
  6. Exercise is very important for your general health & may also help you to reduce stress. Take a pregnancy exercise class or walk at least 15 – 20 minutes every day at a temperate pace. Walk in a cool, shaded areas or indoors to prevent from overheating.
  7. Get adequate or sufficient sleep for at least 8 hours a night. If you are suffering from sleep disturbances, take naps during the day & consult your doctor for any advice.
  8. Wear comfortable, non-restricting shoes & put your feet up many times a day to prevent fatigue & swelling of the feet, legs, & ankles.
  9. Don’t take over-the-counter medications without first consulting doctor or obstetrician.
